NATURAL ARABIC GUM

We use Natural Arabic Gum on all our booklets.

Also known as Acacia Gum, it is a natural gum made of hardened sap of various species of the Acacia tree.

Gum Arabic is harvested from two types of wild Acacia trees, one is Acacia Senegal and the other is Acacia Seyal. We ethically source this raw material in the gum belt of Africa which starts from Senegal in the West to Sudan in the East, also known as the African Sahel to process in our unit in Indonesia.

The resin is obtained through special tapping made on the trunk of the tree. The resinous liquid which comes out of the tapping to heal the cuts on the bark thickens on contact with air, forming a hard and glassy gum.

Arabic gum is edible and has E number E414. Aside from being a great gum to have on our rolling papers it also has many health benefits such as anti-diabetic and antioxidant properties.
